Located just 26 miles West of Fort Worth lies the Historic City of
Weatherford. Where such cowboys as Oliver Loving, Charles Goodnight
and Bose Ikard resided and became the inspiration for Larry McMurtry's
famous Novel Lonesome Dove. Weatherford was established in 1856
before the civil war and its crown jewel is the Courthouse which was
completed in 1886 and is built out of Parker County limestone and is
located in the exact geographical center of Parker County. Weatherford
is also the home of the oldest continuing community college in the
southwest territory. Our greatest treasure is the abundance of historic
homes and buildings. Weatherford is home to more than 60 Queen Ann
Victorians. But that's not all Weatherford is known for it is also known
as the Cutting Horse Capital of the world and is home to dozens of
professional trainers and hall of fame horses. Also being named by the
State Legislature as the Peach Capital of Texas and we are also home to
the Largest Pecan Tree in the Nation it measures 125' tall and 71' in
diameter and is estimated to be anywhere from 900-1100 years old! We
are also known for our beautiful botanical gardens such as Chandor
Gardens which was created by the famous portrait artist Douglas Chandor
whom was known internationally for his portraits of the Rich & Famous
such as Queen Elizabeth, Winston churchill as well as Eleanor and
Franklin Roosevelt. With all this wonderful history you wouldn't think
there was possibly anything else to add but there is! Weatherford is also
the home of the Famous Broadway Star Mary Martin as well as her son
Larry Hagman. Now why tell you all this history about weatherford,
because with history such as this it means that our city is built on pride
and when a city is built on pride you can expect it's citizens to show pride
and care in all aspects of their life. Here at Sewitall's we are a small
home based business that is run by a mother- daughter team with more
than 40 years sewing experience. But it's more than just that not only do
we love sewing and crafting projects of all sorts but we also love
gardening and our Goats. SO when we aren't in the house sewing and
creating we can be found outside either working in the garden or in the
barn spoiling our goats absolutely rotten. It's this kind of quality and
care that you want placed into a product and that is what you can expect
to get from us. A quality product made from loving hands, because we
aim to please all of our customers both the 2legged and the 4legged kind.
